Death of Mr T. Macready.

Mr Thomas Macready, an old settler, died between four and iive p.m. yesterday morning. He was bornin Straurear, Wigtonsliire, Scottandrfifift arrived in the colony in 1853. He was by trade a jeweller and watchmaker. He was a member of the City Board for several years, and lately of the City Council. He wtf several times a member of the Provincial Council,

" and held a seat at the iime of his death. He was 1 aho a member of the Harbour Board, the Improvement Commissioners. He was always a useful public man, and his loss will be very* much regretted.

The Funeral. The funeral took place to-day and was largely attended, by the Freemasons and other pnblic bodies. The coffin was taken through a window, and was over three feet high and three feet broad. The hearse door could not close on it.
