MAKETU. NATIVE DISTURBANCE AVERTED.
Te Hemara's body has been brought down, escorted by 250 natives under Araraa Karaka. Through the negotiations of the Hauhau a disturbance was threatened between the two leading Arawa tribes in connection with the death, but it was averted.
