The opening of the railway t<Bs&rcVMias given a stimulus to that place which bids fair to make it a township of considerable importancem portance ere long. Messrs Martin and Britten, who have the contract for ten miles this side of Mercer have completed more than half the formation. The tunnel on this side of Mercer will be completed in about three months hence, but the contract time does not expire until January.
