Mr. Alfred Buckiand'u Rsport.— At the If.iy- I jinrket, on Friday last, produce was in fall supply, j £>mall loads rallied in price from previous \yee\s* j r s-i'e ; large loads brought from 4s to 5s (3d the cwt. *Birley, 3s 9d ; Tartarian oats, 3s C 1 an I 3< 9d the jbusho!. Second-hand spring carts, £7 10s to .£lO 10s each. Horse stock of a good class wsrfi fairly Represented, and nietwith a steadvdemand. Medium jrtraught were the class most in demand, and bought jfrom £17 to £35; heavy draught, £50; inferior jiorse stuck from 5s each. At the special sale !i >M jit Me«rs H>ndei\son and Macleod's, on Wed.je.sboth stock and implements were in good con jtlition and repair. There was a numerous attendance, and a satisfactory stile throughout. At !>omueiM, on Thursd.iy, dairy cattle near calving were jSold it\ greiter numbers than for several weeks past; Hrst-clasa aijimals were at previous values, but second-class, at lower prices. Few store cattle ; ihose offered in good demand. Fat cattle plentiful ; 2di head sol^l J bidding dull, and prices lower about 3s the 1001b., the greater fall being an the inferior Store sheep in moderate numbers, and r<t jate values. Fat sheep in shoi*t supply, and fully "maintained last week's values. Fut lambs numerous and in demand. Pi t gs plentiful ; good porkers at late values; store pigs lowei* in jnice. Following were the prices given : — Best dairy cows, £12 io£ls; medium cows, at calving £6 10s to £8; /at cattle, 24s to 27s the 1001b. : h<ih-bred store -jv ethers, 13s each ; aged ewes, 8s to 12s; fat sheep, ijd the lb. ; fat lambs, 12 to 17s each.
