(To the Editor of the Waikaio Times ) Sir,— l am glad to hear that subscriptions for the forthcoming sports are bring gathered very successfully, and we anticipate a iirst-rato meeting during the holida\s. As regards the programme I think that it could be very much improved upon ; for instance, say, leave out the boat races altogether on Monday, the 28tu, and fill up with another horae race, leaving the boating until Easter next, when a very good regalta could be got up, as was proved this jear. I nm certain thut this would give more satisfaction than the present proposed arrangements., and with another open horao race we may look for a large number of visitors from other parts of the Waikato. Bui, as I have smd, boat racing and horse racing on the same da} I think would not go well at all. Trusting th.it what I have said will be taken in good part by the committee, it i eing intended only as a suggestion und not an interierence. — 1 a«n, &c, Huudles.
