PUBLIC FERRY.
In connection with the abov», the Proprietor begs te intimate that he has purchased the lease of the Ngauiawahia Ferry. The approaches are now perfectly safe, and the stockyards of such a character that cattle may be yai ded without fear of loss. Every assistance is afforded settlers crossing cattle, &c.

"DERBY."
THE Thoroughbred Horse "DERBY" will «tand this season as iollows : — At Mb Habpeb's on Mondays ; a< Ohaupo, on Tuesdays and Thursdays ; and will pass through Cambridge homeward on Fridays. He will be at home on Saturdays and Alondays. " Derby " is by Ferryman out of Chrysolite, by Stockwell, out of Juliet, by Touchstone, out of Lancashire Witch, by Tomboy Ferryman, by Fisherman, out of Rose de Florence, by Flying Dutchman, out of Boarding School Miss : Juliet is the Mother of Charon and Lamplighter, the winners for the last two seasons of all the two and three year stakes in Victoria and Sydney, with the exception of Handicaps. " Derby " only started once for the Flemington Stakes Ist January, 1869, when he fell (stopping his racing career,) while running well up with the leading horse. He is a handsome dark brown horse, rising 8 years old, and stands 15 hands 2\ inches high. Good paddocks for mares from a distance, 2s per week, with every care and attention, but no responsibility. Terms : — Four Guineas each mare, Groomage 5s ; thiei (or more) mares as per agreement. Derby h*s proved himself a sure foal getter.
