WRITTEN Tenders will be rec-oiTed at this office up to Noon on WEDNESDAY, Hth November, 1874, for tbo supply and delivery of 40,000 SLEEPERS for the Mercer and Newcastle Railway. They must be addressed to the Hon Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside "Tender for Sleepore, Mercer to Newcastle." Specifications may be seen at this Office, and at the Pub* lie Works Offices, Auckland, Rangiriri, and Newcastle. Telegraphic tonders, similarly addressed and marked, will be receivod if presented at any Telegraph Office by Noon of tho same date, provided that written tondors in duo form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's office by the tamo hour. The lowest or any tonder will not neceisarily bo accepted ; and all tenders must be made on a proper printed form, which may b« had on application at the office above specified. By command.
