Mr Alfred Buckland Eeports:— At the Hnymarket, on Friday lasr, fodder was short of requirement, and an advance was obtained, particularly on small loads and on straw. Loose hny brought from 6s 6d to Sj ; pressed hoy, 9s the cwt. There wus a larger than u->ual muster of horse stock, mostly draught. There uas iteady competitii n throughout the sale a (nil values. Prices obtained were— for broken draught coiljuind iillies, £35 to £50; brokeniu draught horees, £40 to £55; spring cart, hor s e and harness, £55 ; light harness lior*e*, £10 10 to £20. The sale of wool and skins was fully nt.cn.lod by the trade, and good competition obtained throughout. Prices given were— Pelts, Is 2d to Is 3J ; merino skins, 2, to 3. ; half-breds and longvvoola, 2s lOd to i* each ; locks and pieces, 3d ; crossbred wool, 8d to 9d the lb.— At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were m usual numbers.
