Titr following arc tho proceedings at a meeting held at tho. Hamilton Hjt I, Hamilton, tor tho purpose of forming a Central Cricket Club m t&e Wtitlato- — Present — Messrs A. E. Cox, (in tho chair), H. Fcrausson W. 11. Hunt, W. F. Piling, J. C. Buritis, E B. Cjx, F. Pilling, J. W. K. Wood, F. Shie], and C. C. Wood. Proposed by Mr J". C. Burgis, and seconded bv Mr W. F. Pilling : " That in the opinion of this meeting, it is thought Ueamibte to form a Wiukuto Cricket Club, for the purpose of playing matches with other District Clubs, and that all cricketers be invited to join." Carried. Proposed by Mr TTergusson, and seconded by Mr J. C. ! Burgis : " That tho annual subscription be £1, to bo paid in iiflvnnco." Carried. Proposed by Mr J, C. Burgii, and seconded by Mr W. H. Hunt ; "That honorary member* beadmtssablo on the name tjrnn." Carried. Proposed by Mr II Fergusson, and seconded by Mr W. F. Pilling : " That Messrs A. E. Cox, J. C Burgis, W. H. Hunt, F. T. Goring, H. Morrison, J. H. W. Carpenter, and tho mover, bo elected a committoa with power to act in all matters relating to tbo club, and that four members of the said committee form a quorum." Carried. Proposed by Mr E. B. Cor, and seconded by Mr J. C. Burgu : " That Mr C. C. Wood bo olectfd Secretary and Treasurer to the Club 5 also, that the Secretary bo tho agent of the committee, with full power to act and order as regards tho game, refreshments, the care of tho ground, and all other matters within the prortnee of the committee, and that, when ho anticipates tho consent of the committee, ho do apply ns early as possible for that consent." Carried. Proposed by Mr H. Fergusson, and «econded by Mr W. 11. Hunt: "'That any person who wishes to join the clnb should be proposed and seconded by members, and balloted for by the clvb — one in three to exclude." Carried. Proposed by Mr F. Shiel, and seconded by Mr F. Pilhug : " That tho committee have power to accept any one ts honorary members, on the payment of the annual subscription. " Carried. Proposed by Mi T?. Shiel, »nd seconded by Mr J. C. Bur»is : "That the first meeting be held on the first Saturday in September, by which dato all inscriptions must be paid." Carried. Proposed by Mr J. 0. Burgis, and seconded by Mr C. C. Wood ; " I'hat the committeo bo empowered to select and prepare a suitable ground for the ensuing season " Carried. Proposed by Mr F. Sbiel and seconded by Mr J. 0. Burgis ; " That some account of tho meeting bo sent to the IFaikato Times newspaper by the Secretary, and that members bo incited to join. Application* to be made to the Secretary beforo the lir*t Saturday in September, when thoy will be balloted for." Carried. After a rote of tbauks to the Chairman tho meeting trtt adjournod.
