riie steamer Patterson on -entering the Waitara river on Monday, got on the north spit, but bhiftod last night about 200 yards towards the bar ; but for two anchors she would have foundered. TJio Eliza Emary was driven on the south spit last night while attempting to cross the bar. The wind changed, and a fearful thunderstorm passed over tho town last night.
