WELLINGTON. Saturday.
Thei*e is very little stir in the political world. Stafford has not yet arrived, and Rolleston is still absent. It is whispered that Fitzhorbert and Bunny are trying to coquette with Gillies to create an Opposition, which at present does not exist in form. It is an absurd canard about the Premier superseding Eeatlierston, and Stafford taking the Premiership. It is entirely wrong, and must have been a hoax. Stafford is q\iietly pottering about his suburban villa in Nelson. The members generally have hopes that this will prove a short session.
