•John Pasoce and William Dublin were charged with the wilful murder of William Wright, carter, in the employment of Mr Winter, Great South road. Kemanded. The deed was done in a Maori brothel off Upper Queen Btreet ; Wright receiving, such' injuries that he died this morning. Alexander Brown was committed for trial to-day for alleged incendiarism. The defence called no> witnesses. The Criminal Calendar contains thirteen cases. The sittings are likely to last long. Sailed : Victoria, s.s., for Sydney y Taranaki. sjs., ftr the South.
