At the Supreme Court to-day in the appeal case, Weston v. Johnstono, in. which the plaintiff had been .multced in #25 damages, by a Resident Magistrate for destroying- a portion of Johnstone's ran, Poverty Bay, by setting fire toVa farm which he held from Johnstone, , the, Judge sustained the Resident Magistrates decision, on the ground that Weston had been guilty of neglect and carelessness. Arrived — Wellington, s.s., from the South.
