CENTBAL WAIKATO AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the members of the Central Waikato Agricultural Association was held at Te Awamutu on Wednesday, 13ih ult. The secretary read the following statement of accounts :—: —

Thus leaving a small balance of fifteen shillings due to secretary, which, however, will be much more than covered by the sale of the hurdles and a few small subscriptions still to come in. The accounts as read were passed. The following officers were chosen for the ensuing year : — President, Mr Seccombe ; Vice-Presidents, Mr G. C Y. Tisdall and Mr W. Bruce ; Secretary, Mr Mandeno. The old committee "were re-elected, with power to add to their number. Messrs A. Kay and Hermann, auiitors. Some discussion then took place as to when the next show should be held. It was decided that a meeting should be called for the first Saturday in June, at 2 o'clock p.m. , to consider and decide upon the question. There was also some conversation as to the advisability of offering a good prize for the best heavy draught entire horse travelling in the district. This matter also was left to be decided at the next meeting. A vote of thanks to the retiring officers was passed, and the meeting came to a close.
