Example : Suppose the girth of * bullock to be six f three inches, length five feet six inches, the superficial a will then ba thirty-four, ami, in accordance with the p ceediug table, the weight will be seven hundred and eigh two pounds. Suppose a pig to measure in girth two fe and length one foot and nine inches, tliore would then three and a-half feet, which multiplied by eleven, gr thirty-eight and a-half pounds as the weight of the ami when dressed. In this way the weight of four qnaM can be substantially ascertained during life.
