NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. Waikato Railway. MERCER CONTRACT. Public Works Office, Wellington, Feb. 21, 1874. TENDERS will be received at this Office up to Noon on Friday, 10th April, 1874, for the above Contract,— the length being about 10 mile 3. They must be addressed to the Hon. Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside, " Tender, Meicer Contract. " Plans and Specifications may be seen at this Office, and at the Public Works Offices, Auckland and Newcastle. Telegraphic Tenders similatly addressed and marked will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by noon of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour. The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted. (By command), JOHN BLACKETT, Assistant-Engineer-in-Chief.

TTNDER, and in pursuance of the powers in me vested *"' in that behalf by " The Impounding Act, 1867," Ido hereby abolish, as a Public Pound, those premises situated within the boundaries of the Hamilton East Township Highway District, on allotment No 24, Hamilton East, and I do hereby appoint in lieu thereof those premises situated within the boundaries of the said district, erected on Public Square, No. 410, Hamilton East, to be and be used as a Public Pound for the purposes of the said recited Act. Given under my hand at Auckland, this 14th day of March, 1874. J. WILLIAMSON, Supeiintendcnt.
