(To the Editor of the Waikato Times.)
Sib,—Last year, I, in conjunction with many others, subscribed to a Waikato Agricu'tural Association, and gaye my rote in the election of t«o members of a committee, from among whom was chosen the President of the Association. A sUow was held at Cambridge, which, considering that only half the district was represented was a success. Since that time, the association appears to have died a natnral death. Had this resulted from amalgamation with the Central Wnikato, which has lately held a successful show at Te Awamutu, there would be causo for congratulation that it had ceased to exist ; now, it appear* to hare djed .out from sheer want of energy on the part of those who undertook.the man* ngement. Perhaps some of those gentlemen would inform the public through your coluinni, why no amalgamation with the Central Waikato Association was effected ? and in the event of this burins been impossible, why no thow has been held this year. If tl>ey will kmdly do this, they will oblige your obedient lerrant, S; At 1& March, 21, 1874.
