CHURCH- MEETING "AT NGARUAWAHIA.
Thk annual- meeting of the members of the Church- of England took place on Siturdrtyeveuing, tho 2 111. The R-'v F. C. Lloyd in the chair. There were present, Messrs Hirue, Byron, Riynor, Holloway, WioholU, Ransorae, Butohor, MaoDanald, Ghffney, Clarke. The meeting having been opened ' with prayer, the minutas of the previous meeting were rend and confii-toed. Mr Bjrron then road the bstlnnco shoot, which showed the total receipts for tho year to be £67 9s 4d ; espendituvo, £52 10,91; balance, £14 18-) 7d. Tuo balance sheet was adopted. The following resolutions were then passed :—: — 1 That the sum of 30a be paid out of the Church funds for the purpose of decaying the traveling expenses of the clerical representative to the Diocesan Synod. 2 That in the opinion of this meeting it is desirable for the Church Committee to contribute a suui of money according to their discretion' for 1 the necessary repairs of the peonage house at Hamilton. 3 That in the opinion of this meeting the incoming Church Committee should ascortain whether a section is set apa-t for a cemetery, and if not that they should forthwith represent tue matter to the Government, in order to secui-e a si' o for the purpose. Totes of thanks warn tlu»n passed to Messrs Jone« and ShLlington for presiding at the harmonium, to Mr Edgecunibo and the other members of the choir, and to the Clu.rsh Committee, for their servmes during the past year; also to the Rev BY. A*h well 'for his- kindness in holding son ice< at the Ciurch for the past year. A Cburch Committee* was then formed: —Mr W. S. Nicholls, nominated by Rev 3?: C" Lloyd ; Mr Holloway proposed by Mr Byron, seconded by Mi* Rayner ; Mr Byron, prnio^d by Mr Ravner, seconded by Mr-Rnnsome.
