GOOD TEMPLARY.
Tun following is an outline of the business to be done piioi to the depaiture of the Hon. Mi. Hastings, who has now been for some weeks m tK^ colony organizing the Good Templar movement and placing it on^a piopei ba«s. ' On Monday, 25th first./ lliere is "to be a. meeting of th£Auckland ana suburban districts, >in the Lome-street Hall at* haHi-past seven in' the evening. Oft^Fuesday, 26th inst, araeelingof the Grand Lodge of the Noith Island will be held at which it is expected that representatives of lodges from all parts of the Island will be piesent. There will be an election of which Mr.^Hastings holds the charter, this meeting is to be held at ten o'clock in the moining in the Temperance Hall. . On Wednesday, 27th inst., a meeting is to be held at 2 p.m. in the Lome-street Hall, at which it is expected many of the influential people of Auckland will be present, as well as clerical representatives of the various religious bodies. The businsss will be to consider the best means of promoting the cause of temperance. After the meetmgtea will be served. This will be about six p.m. On Friday, 29th instant, at six o'clock in the evening theie will be the usual anniversary meeting, and a farewell soiree will be given to Mr. Hastings at the Choral Hall at six p.m. This will conclude the business of the week.
