Resolution of the House of Representnlnes, passed on the 22ud October, 1872 a Bonus is hereby ottered for the encouragement of certain Colonial Indu^rics, namely :—: — IIICN. Bonus of £S,«XK). For the production in JN'ew Zealand of 1,000 tons weight of Pig Iron of marketable quality. Con 01 111 1 ,>B, 1. The bonus not to be given for any quantity less than 100 'OH3. 2. Notice of tho intention to erect iron works and claim the bonus must be gmn to the Colonial Secretary before 3Ut December, 187&. 3. Tha bonus must be planned before the 30th June, 1873. 4. In the event of mioic than one claimant giving such notice, not more than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by tho first producer, and not moro than three-tenths b,\ the second producer; but lfonlv one chniHiii't becomes a producer on the above condition*, he may claim the whole of the bonus 5. The iron in respect of which an^ bonus is chinned will bo examined by an officer to be appointed by the Government, who may require the production of bond fide account sales of quantities not lest than 10 toni weight, showing that such iron has been sold at a fair market price a-> Pig Iron.
