The sale of flax ami » 00l held on Wednesday, at the Haymarkefc, was fairly •i 1 1 Muled by buyers for skins, locks, and pieces. Tnere was K"»U competition, but for the wool in bales bidding was dull, -iid there *as an evident desire on the part of the buyers 1" (Ulor purchases until the principal sale took phce. Nearly i i> whole of the wool in bales was reserred. and at the sale l- lid was the highest price offered for wool in grease, but • pi-irate sale at lid for cross-bred wool was made after the ..-•turn was over. Four IoU of washed wool only were • ■I'ored j two of those were sold at 181 8 B*d and Is 3jd the lb, tUv others were withdrawn. Flax offered in excess of usual .(imntity. Inferior samples were very dull of sale, bringing tint 10s to 14s the cwt, and the better class was at first M'urecly competed for, but finally the greater part was sold at. but slight difference in Talue from last month's rates, tN-»e kind* kinds bringing £17 to £20 the ton. At the Haynmrket on Friday very little hay offered, that brought forwurd sjld freely at an advance orer last week's prices. The hone stock shown were mostly hea?y draught, and met with i» «tcady inquiry, and the greater part were sold. Young u/imials, from £35 to £45 ; aged hones from £16 each
