An indignation mooting is lo bo held to-night in referenco to the statements made by Mr Lusk at the meeting in the Mechanics' Institute. Letters have apneired in the Crosi and Star calling upon all true lloinan Catholics to oppose Dargaville's return as Superintendent, in consequence of statements made at the late Orange soiree. A petition to his Excellency the Governor is in course of signature for tiio remission of the sentence passed upon Mrs Bell. An inquest is to bo held to-morrow on the body of Patrick Hunter, who has died from wounds inflicted by the man Kennison. Active search is progressing for the liev Mr Hamilton who is missing from the Whan. Armed : Endymion, ship, from London. During the passage an apprentice named John Richards disappeared mysteriously. It is supposed that lie fell overboard. Jane, from Hobartown.
