As the name of the Company implies, it is the intention to make it principally a settlers' undertaking, and with that t low, the Company is to be formed in £\ shares, so that all residents may be able to join, thereby securing to the Company the whole of the river traflic, and consequently, to themselves a remunerative investment. It is proposed to build a powerful steamer suitable for the requirements of the river, at an estimated cost of £500 C ; also teveral barges and Goods' Depots. Arrangements have been made for a supply of Coal at Ralph's Mine, nt the rate of 10s. per ton, for a term of years. Tho Waikato Flax Company are willing to run their steamer, now being built, in connection with the Company, or if desirable, amalgamate the &amc with it. The Office of the Company is to be in Auckland, with a Manager in Waikato, under the direction of a Local Committee. The Provisional Directors to hold office for Six Months from date, when a Gtneral Meetmg of Shareholders will be called to elect a Directory.
