COMMERCIAL.
Mr Alfred Buck'a'nd reports : — At the Haymarket, on Friday lust, no heavy draught stock were offered. A smaller than usual number 0/ light-liaincas and medium draught met with a steady demand at late prices. Small-sized ruling horses were also in request, but for good riding stock there •waa no corresponding inquiry. Fqdder was in usuaj supply and increased request, but with ,no improvement in values, varying from £2 10s to £4 10s the ton.— At K*muera, on Thursday, there was a very small mutter of store cattle ; for any in fresh condition better prices were obtained. Dairy cows were also in less than usual numbers, and of middling quality only ; there was no alteration in value*. Fut cattle were in average number* 5 123 ljead sold. At, opening of sale bidding wai dull, but improved aa iho sale proceeded, and last week's prices were fully sustained. Store sbe^p of a good class were more numerous than for sercral weeks ; they were in demand at extreme values. Fat sheep were in average supply, 500 sold : prices obtained about 3|d the ft, Pig« of good quality were better worth, but coarno animals •car eel r saleable.
