The Provibional Directors have ascertained the opinion of the Waikato Settlers on the subject, and have been promised an almost unanimous support. As tho name of the Company implies, it is the intention to make it principally a settler's undertaking, and with that view, the Company is to be formed in £1 shares, so that all residents may be able to join, thereby securing to the Company the whole of the river traffic, and consequently, to themselves a remunerative investment. The Directors anticipate that the Shares will be fully subscribed for, and operations commenced within six months and that not more than 10s. per share will bo called up satisfactory banking arrangements having been made.
