Alteration of Advertisement. New Zealand Telegreph.

I frENDKRS are rivited lot the Supply and Deliveiy of ;-*- he ven Hundred and Fifty (750) Telegraph Posts (more or ]cs S/( , for the construction of a, line ol Telegraph between Cambridge and Alexandra, both m the Province of Auckland. The route of the line will be from Cambridge to Dough, and Walker's Station ; thence across tho Moanatuatua Swamp to Rangiohia; thence to Kihikihi; thence to Te Awamutu ; and thence by the Lower or Punui Road to Alexandra. N.B. — Any Post containing the least sap will bo rejected, and all posts laid on the line and afterwards found in any manner defective, or not in accordance with the specification, will be cut into two pieces by the Examining Officer. The Posts to bo delnered along the lino at points to be ndicated by an Officer appointed by tho Government. The major portion of the posts to be twenty (20) feet in length; but some will be required twenty-five (25) feet long to be laid at points as indicated. Posts of both the above lengths to be eight (8) inches square at the butt, and tapered to six (6) inches square at the top. The whole of the Posts to be delivered within three (3) calendar months of the date of acceptance of tender, under a penalty of five pounds (£5) to be paid for every working day the contract is not completed after that date. Tenders to state separately and distinctly tho price per post according to the sizes given. Each, tender to be accompanied by a deposit of twenty pounds (£2O) as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited to the Government should any tenderer refuse to enter into or sign a contract in the event of his tender being accepted. Each tenderer must submit for approval the names of two (2) sureties willing to enter into a bond for the due performance of the contract in the ofent of his tender being accepted, and each of the persons so named must enclose a notification (in the tender) of their willingness to accept the responsibility. Specifications may be seen, and further particulars obtained at the Telegraph Ofiice, Auckland. Tenders marked, " Tenders for Telegraph Posts between Cambridge and Alexandra," to be addressed to the undersigned, at tho Telegraph Ofiice, Auckland, will be received up to, and not later than Noon on MONDAY, the 16th June, 1873.
