New Zealand Telegraph. fIpENDERS are invited for the Supply and Delivery of -■- Nino hundred (900) Telegraph Posts (more or less), for renewing the line of Telegraph between Pukenmu (near Cambridge) uud Alexandra, and passing through Ohaupo and To Awamutu. The Posts to be sawn from the heart of kauri, to be perfectly sound, straight, and free I'roin sap, loose knots, shakes, speckles, and all other defects. N.B. — Any Post confainmg fclio least sap will be rejected, and all posts laid on the line and afterwards found in any manner defective, or not in accordance with the specification, will be cut into two pieces by the Examining Officer. The Posts to be delivered along the Hue at points to bo ndicated by sn Officer appointed by the Government. , The major portion of the posts to be twenty (20) feet in length ; but some will bo required twenty-iive (25) feet long to bo laid at points as indicated. Posts of both the above lengths to be eight (8) inches square at the butt, and lapored to six (6) inches square at the top. Tho whole of the Posts to bo delivered within three (3) calendar months of tho date of acceptance of tender, under a penalty of five pounds (£5) to be paid for every working day the contract is not completed after that date. Tenders to state separately and distinctly the price per post according to the sizes given. Eich tender to bo accompanied by a deposit of twenty pounds (£2O) as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited to the Government should any tenderer refuse to enter into or sign a contract in tho event of his tendor being accepted. Eiich tenderer must submit for approval the names of two (2) sureties willing to enter into a bond for the due perforniam eof tiie contract m tho event of his tender being accepted, and oaflh of tho portions *o named must enclose a notilication (m the leader) of fieir willingness to accept tio responsibility, j Specilications may be seen, and further particulars obtained at the Telegraph Oilice, Auckland.
