New Zealand Telegraph. r G VENDERS are invited for the Supply and Delivery of -*- Nine hundred (900) Telegraph Posts (more or less) , for renew ing the line of Telegraph between Pukerimu (near Cambridge) and Alexandra, aud passing through Obaupo and Te Awamutu. The Posts to be sawn from the heart of kauri, to be perfectly sound, straight, and free from sap, loose knots, shakes, speckles, and all other defectsN.B. — Any Post containing the least sap will be rejected, and all posts laid on tho line and afterwards found in any manner defective, or not in accordance with the specification, will be cut into two pieces by the Examining Oilicer. Tho Posts to be delivered along the line at points to be ndicated by an Officer appointed by the Government. , The major portion of the posts to be twenty (20) feet in length ; but some will bo required tnenfy-iive (25) feet long feo be laid at points as indicated. Posts of both the above lengths to be eight (8) inchc3 square at the butt, and tapered to six (G) inches square at the top. The whol« of the Posts to be delivered within three (3) calendar months of the dat« of acceptance of tender, under a penalty of five pounds (£5) to be paid for every working day the contract it not completed after that date. Tenders to state separately and distinctly the price per post according to the sizes given. Each tender to be accompanied by a deposit of twenty pounds (£2O) as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited to the Government should any tenderer refuse to enter into or sign a contract in the event of his tender being accepted. Each tenderer must submit for approval tlie names of two (2) sureties willing to enter into a bond for the due performance of the contract in the event of his tender being acccjjted, and each of the persons «> named must enclose a notification (m tho tender) of their willingness to accept tlie responsibility. Specifications may bo seen, aud further particulars obtained at the Telegraph Office, Auckland. Tenders marked, " Tenders for Telegraph Posts between Cambridge and Alexandra," to be addressed to tlie undersigned, at the Telegraph Office, Auckland, will be received up to, and not later than Noon 011 TUJfiSDAY, the 3rd June, 1873.
