New Zealand Telegraph. TENDERS are invited for the Supply and Delivery of Nino hundred (900) Telegraph Posts (more or less), for renewing the line of Telegraph between Pukerimu (near Cambridge) and Alexandra, and passing through Obaupo and To Awamutu. The Posts to bo sawn from the heart of kauri, to be perfectly sound, straight, and free from sap, loose knots, shakes, speckles, and all other defects. N.B. — Any Post containing the least sap will be rejected, and all posts laid on tho line and afterwards found in any manner defective, or not in accordance with tho specification, will be cut into two .pieces by tho Examining Officer. The Posts to be delivored along the line at points to be ndicated by an Officer appointed by the Government. , The major portion of the posts to be twenty (20) feet in length ; but some will be required twenty-live (25) feet long to bo laid at points as indicated. Posts' of both the above lengths to bo eight (8) inches square at the butt, and tapered to six (6) inches square at the top. The whole of tho Posts to be delivered within threo (3) calendar months of the date of acceptance of tender, under a penalty of five pounds (£5) to be paid for every working day the contract is not completed after that date. Tenders to state separately and distinctly tho price per post according to tho sizes given. Each tender to be accompanied by a deposit of twenty pounds (£2O) as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited to tho Government should any tenderer refuse to enter into or sign a contract in the event of his tender being accepted. Each tenderer must submit for approval the names of two (2) sureties willing to enter into a bond for the due performance of the contract in tho event of his tender being accepted, and each of the persons so, named must enclose a notification (in the tender) of their willingness to accept the responsibility. ON and after this date no persons of the Native Race will be allowed to travel on the roads, or wander about within any of the townships within the district of Waikato between the houi'3 of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. And no person of the Native Race will bo permitted to cross the bridges at Cambridge and Alexandra, and the forries at Hamilton and Ngaruawahia, during the same hours. All Officers of the Armed Constabulary and Volunteers are required to strictly enforce this regulation. Any person^, of tho Native Race found travelling, or wandering about within the hours aforesaid, without a Pass, issued^by me, will be liable to be arrested and conveyed to the Q-uard-room.
