Grahanntow n, Friday , 8 p.m. A meeting of the Kauwaeranga Highway District Board was held to-day. Tho differences between the Hoard aud the Gas Company were adjusted. Mr Lewis, on bebalf of the companj , guaranteed to give a bond to make good the damage to btreets, and the Board granted pcnrission to the coinpnny to break up tho streets and paths as required. A large and influential meeting is being he[d for the purpose of form tag an association to obtain a lcfonn in the Native Department.
