Issue of £250,000 New Zealand Govern ment Debentures in New Zealand, Treasury, Wellington, Bth April, 1873. TENDERS arcinvited for the purchase of the whole or any portion of Two Hundred nnd Fifty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government Debentures, iswed under the Acts of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled " The Immigration and Public Works Loan Act, 1870," and " The Dofence and Other Purpose* Loan Act, 1870," subject to the under-mentioned condition! :—: — 1. The Debenture* will be pay able to Bearer and will >■ be issued in sums of Hot less than One Hundred . Pounds each. 2. The Debenturoi, which arc secured on the Consolidated Revonueof the Colony, will bear interest at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, on the 15th day of April and the 13th day of October in each year, at the Bank of New Zealand at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier, Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch, Greymouth, Hokitika, Duuodin, or Invorgargill. 3. Tlie principal sum w ill be payable on the 15th day of April, 1913, at the Treasury at Wellington, or at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand, in New Zealand, at the option of the holder, six months' notice being required previous to maturity, of the place at which payment will be required. 4. Tenders w ill be opened nt the Treasury nt Wellington at noon on Friday, the ninth day of May ne\t, in tho presence of such of the tenderers as desire to be present — tho minimum price under seal being fir?t placed on the table. In the event of equal tenders being received for a sum in excess of the issue, a pro raia distribution will bo made. 5. The amount tendered for must bo paid at tho Treasury at Wellington, as under :—: — 5 per cent accompanying application ; * the balance on or before the 16th Maj 1 , 187JOr at the option of the purchasers :—: — 5 per cent on application. 20 per cent in ono month, *\ 25 per cent in two months, / with accrued 25 per cent in throe months, t interest. 25 per cent in four months. ) * Purchasers electing to pay balance within a week will be entitled to interest from tho 15th day of April. On payment of the final instalment, Debentures signed by the Agents appointed under the respective Acts, will be delivered to purchasers or their nominees. Half per cent brokerage will be allowed to brokers through whose applications sales are effected. Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o'clock on the 9th Ma}, will bo accepted, provided they are accompanied by a telfgnun from tho Manager of any Branch or Agency of tlie Bank of New Zealand, notifying t lint, the necessary* deposit has been paid into the Bank of New Zealand, to the credit of a Loan Deposit Account.
