IN compliance with a Resolution of the House of Representative, parsed on 22nd October, 1 872, a Bonus is hereb) ollered for the encouragement of certain Colonial lnduilrici, namely :—: — IRON. JJOM'S OF £3,000. For the production in New Zealand of 1,000 tons weight of Pig Iron, of Marketable quahty. Condition*. 1. The boniib not to be given for any quantity less than 100 toiid. 2. Notice of the intention to erect Iron Works and claim the bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before the 31st December, 1873. 3. The bonus must be claimed before this 30th June 1873. 4. In the event of more than one claimant giving such notice, not inoru than seven-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by tho first producer, and not more than threetenths by the second producer ; but if only one claimant bee omes a producer on the above conditions, he may claim the whole ol the bonus. 0. The Iron in respect of which any bonus is claimed will be examined bj auoflicertobo appointed by the Government who may rcquu-c the production of bona Jide account sales of quantities not less than 100 tons weight, showing that faiich Iron has been sold at a fair market price as Pig Iron. STEEL. Bo>u& or £1,000. For the production in New Zealand of 100 tons weiglit of marketable Steel from Magnetic or Titumferous Iron Sand or Iron Ore. Conditions. 1. Notice nuibt be given to the Colonial Secretary of the intention to claim this bonus before the 30th June, 1873. 2. The claim for payment of the bonus must be made betore 30th June, 1871. 3. The bonus w ill be paid to the producer who effecta the first bona Jide sale of the above quantity of Steel at a fair market price. SUGAR. Bonus of £2,000. For the production of 250 tons of Sugar manufactured from Beetroot m New Zealand. Conditions. 1. Notice of the intention to claim this bonus must begiven to the Colonial Secretary be'ore 31sL December, 1873. 2. Claims lor payment of the bonus to be sent in before 30th June, 1873. 3. For the production of 100 tons of Printing Paper, manufactured in New Zealand by Machinery. Condition?. 1. Tho Paper must be made by machinery, permanently established and working in the Colony. < '3. Claims for payment of the bonus must be sent in before 3]st December" 1871. 4. This bonus will be be paid on Cured Fish, dry or pickled exported from the colony for consumption abroad. Conditions. 1. The bonus will bo paid to tho producer on tho producLion of account sales showing that the Fish has been sold out of the Colony ior fair market value. '2. The exporter to enter into a bond not to reland in the Colony any Fish on which a bonus has been paid. 3. The bonus may be claimed on all Fish oxportcd be twten Ist November, 1872, and Ist Novombjr, 1879., and is to be paid out of all moneys appropriated for that purpose.
