Napier, Monday. The Land Commission has adjourned .sine die. They refused Shcchan's application for «i warrant to commit Henarc Tamoana for perjury, Judge Richmond giving as a e'lief reason that he was likely to preside at the next sittings of the Supreme Com t, and could not therefore act both as Magistrate and Judge, The natives will hold a huge meeting +o-morrow to consider the propriety of taking further steps towards repudiating land-purchases. They propose to retain Sheehan for 12 months. llapnka has by letter withdrawn all charges against McLean.
■Wellington, Tuesday. The Hon Mr Vogel left in the Nebraska List night to confer with Mr Thomas Uussell, who is going home in the Nebraska, and h.is undertaken giatuitously to represent the Government in enfoi cmg payment of Webbs penalties, and making enquiries regarding the probability of the conbinuanco of a San Francisco service. Mr Olray, Post-office Secietary, accompanies Mr Russell, and acts as mail agent.
