In the event of more than one claimant giving such notice, not more tiinn se\ en-tenths of the bonus may be claimed by the first producer, and not more than threetenths bj tlte second producer ; but if only one claimant becomes a producer on the above conditions, he may claim the whole of the bonus. 5. The Iron in respect of which any bonus is claimed will be examined by an officer to be appointed ty the Government who may require the production of bona Jide account sales of quantities not less than 100 tons vv eight, showing that such Iron has been sold at a fair market price as Pig Iron.

STEEL. Eo:,us or £1,000. For the production in New Zetland of 100 tons weight of marketable Steel from Magnetic or Titanifurous Iron Sand or Iron Ore. Conditions. 1. Notice must be given to the Colon ial*Sccrclary of the intention to claim this bonus before the 30th June, 1873. 2. The claim for payment of the bonus must be made before 30th June, 1874. 3. The bonus will be paid to the producer who effects the first boua Jide sale of the above quantity of Steel at a fair market price.

SUGAR. Bonus of £2,000. For the production of 250 tons of Sugar manufactin'cd from Beetroot in Now Zealand. Conditions.

1. Notice of the intention to claim this bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st December, 1873. 2. Claims for payment of the bonus to be sent in before 30th June, 1875. 3. The bonus will be paid to the producer who first effects a bona fide Balo of tho amount of Sugar specified.

PAPER. Boxrs of £2>500. For the production of 100 tons of Printing Paper, manufactured in New Zealand by Machinery. Conditions. 1. Notice of the intention to claim this bouus must bo given to the Colonial Secretary before 31st January, 1873. 2. The Paper must bo made by machinery, permanently established and working in tho Colony. 3. Claims for payment of the bonus must be sent in before 31st December," 1874. 4. The bonus will be paid to the producer who effects tho first bona Jide sale of the amount of Printing Paper specified.

Bom's of 4s. ra Cwt. This bonus will be be paid on Cured Fish, dry or pickled, exported from tho colony lor consumption abroad.

Conditions. 1. The bonus will be pu.-d to the producer on the production ol account u\a showing tint the Fish bus bun sold out of the Colom lor fair ma.-ket value. 2. The exporter to enter into a bond not to rcland in the Colony any Fish on which a bonus has boon paid. 3. The bonus may be claimed on all Fish exported be tween Ist November," 1872, and Ist November, 187' J., and is to be paid out of all moneys appropriated for that purpose.

The above rewards wdl bo paid on the certificate of an officer appointed by Government that the conditions applicable to each reward have been complied with. JOHN HAIL.
