Tauranga. Tnn of Mr Alley* stockmen lmrc driven 1,100 sheep through from Napier. They have identified the two bulloeltd alleged to have been stolen by Faulkner. A man answering to the description of Brogan's mate arrived from AVhangamata. He is evidently a fugitive, having no swag. The diggers threaten to roast Brogan, who has not yet turned up.
I Wellington. I The Government decided yesterday to nsk the Superietendents of tlie various provinces to invite the principal surveyors of the colony to meet at Wellington to discuss the method of nnprowng the general survey of the colony.
Duneclin. The Wool market is dull. Buyer* show no disposition to male purcha-cs at greatly reduced prices.
Tnrunnki. The Hon. 1). McLeon remains hero a week. A native meeting will be held at Parinka, at which Mr Pnrri", Parala, and Wt Tuko will attoud.
