It appeared in evidence that there was no written agreement between these parties, but that plaintiff had told defendant in the heai-ing of a witness that he would make him an allowance for repairing the premises, etc. A dispute arose between the plaintiff and defendant as to what should be allowed to the latter for tho work that he had done on the premises, and he refused to pay rent or leave until he received some remuneration for his improvements. He employed Mr. Highley to value his repairs, etc- this was done, and they were valued at £4 Is Gd. Judgment was given for defendant by their Worships, after a careful hearing, defendant to leave the house after he received a week's uotice to quit. lienry Dunn and James Andrews were brought up, charged with using threatening and obscene language towards James Uzzell on the sth inst. .lames"Andrews waa dismised on payment of costs, and a caution to be more oareful of what company he kept for the future, Dunn was fined 2()5., and bound over to keep the peace for three months, himself in 25/ and two sureties at 151 each James Uzaell was charged, on the information of Henry Dunn, with having used threatening language owards him on the 6th inst. This charge, which aro?e out of the previous case, was not proved, and the case was dismissed.
