AUCKLAND.
July 20, 2.5 p.m. The forty, steamer has just returned with fclie Health-Officer from the inspection of the mail steamer. The captain reports that during the passage to Honolulu no disease showed itself on board. The disease has disappeared from Honolulu and San Francisco. No disease of any description on hoard on the return trip. The authorities are now visiting the vessels and if all is well she will proceed up tlio harbor. She brings 37 passengers. She made the run from Honolulu in days. The captain leports that no news was to be heard about war between America and Europe. 4 p.m. The Hoard of Health have just. coucUidert fieir meeting. Doctor Phil son states that no disease is vi-iiblii on board. The Hoar 1 have sent I)r. Phil son down agaii, and have left to him the decision as to whetiier she shall come up the harbour. Will take two hours before known. When the ..Nebraska left Honolulu there were ytf cases of smiil-pox from wnieh persons died. The authoiities there blame the .Nebraska for having introdacjd tiie disease. Over 200 passengers went on in the Aiohonowa. There were great complaints at there not being a larger vessel.
