The ways of Governments are mysterious. About the end of last year the chairmen of the various Road Boards received notice from t ie Provincial Treasurer, intimating- that half r ! e money allotted for Provincial Public ■Vorks by the General Government was then livable, and that the other half would proi'.ibly bo payable about the end of June this r-ir.
