FELLOWSHIP MEETING. ■ SUCCESSFUL INNOVATION. ' Between thirty and foriy men of St. Andrew’s Church assenwled in St. Andrew’s Schoolroom on Friday evening last for the first fellowship meeting this year. The chairman (Dr. Maclean) explained that this meeting served a twofold purpose, in that it not' only' provided an opportunity for. the men of the congregation to meet one another, but it also gdve them an early chance .of meeting their minister. He extended a. welcome to the Rev. A. C. McLean and asked him to get his contribution to .the'programme '-finished with. The Rev. A. C. McLean then spoke for twenty minutes, ■ giving, by request, a .description of his recent travel on the .Continent, ■ a particularly interesting part of which was that which dealt with- a visit to Rome and the mention of places of interest to all Christendom. A programme of musical and elocutionary items followed, the contributors being Messrs S. H. Wood, J. Cook, J. Lunt; and Dr. Maclean (an apology was received from Mr F. V. Ward). An interval, during the course of the evening, for a “smoke” and a “story” unearthed some gems of Scottish and other types of humour. Supper arrangements were im the hands of Messrs Leitch, C. Riddell, and J. Hughes, and this rounded off a very interesting and enjoyable evening, which was concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
