WILDING SHIELD. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 19. Wellington won the Anthony Wilding Shield, after a close finish to-day, by two sets. Keen interest was shown in the play, and the issue was .in doubt right to the finish. The meeting between E. D. Andrews,this year’s, champion, and the veteran Ollivier, last year’s'holder of the Dominion title, was the chief event of the day, and , although shrewd ■ judges anticipated victory for the 'Canterbury crack, they were hardly prepared for such a decisive win.
