MAN INJURED.
EXPLOSION OF GELIGNITE. - (Per Press Association,) GORE, To-day. David Hughes received a shattered hand and head injuries and suffered other wounds through an /explosion of gelignite which he was using to mine lignite at Balfour yesterday. Hugheslater had his hand amputated at the Gore Hospital, and was sent to Invercargill for treatment of a damaged eye. His parents reside at South Dunedin.
