“ELIZA COMES TO STAY”
A COMEDY ALL SHOULD SEE. The company which is to appear in Waipukurau next Wednesday night for the purpose of staging E. V. Esmond’s hrilliant comedy “Eliza Comes to stay” is an extremely talented one and theatre-goers of this town and district are paticiilarly fortunate in that Waipukurau has been inclued in their itincry. It is without doubt the finest production of its kind to visit here since the New Municipal Theatre was opened. Long and successful- seasons in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin- speak for the high quality of the company and the play. The Company appeared in Christchurch during the Xmas and New Year season, being the holiday attraction at the Theatre ±Joyal there, and’they played to packed houses nightly. “Eliza comes to say” proved the big drawing card during the season and seats wore at a prem-. inm, early booking being necessary to secure admission. It is to be hoped that a packed house will greet Miss Zillah Bateman and her talented fellow artists, when they appear here next Wcd- Z nesday for it is only by the certainty of big support that first-class shows can, be expected to include Waipukurau in their list of towns.
