His colours were carried on f Thursday by Broadmoor by Panmure from Heather Brae but he failed to get into the money. Beuzora, after her Wellington and Egmont running, looked the best of good things for the -Flying Handicap at New Plymouth on Thursday and so it proved, for after about a furlong she was never headed. The son of Potoa has started in twelve races under big weights this season, and he has just missed collecting some most valuable prizes. He has been second three times, third five times, and unplaced twice, while his only victory was in the Plumpton Handicap, at the Avondale spring meeting. Last season she failed to run into a place in five starts, but this season she scored in a seven-furlong event at Greymouth, while she was / second in a mile race at the same fixture. This is for the Derby . and Ascot Gold Cup fixtures, and the prices range.from approximately 2 guineas to 4 guineas each. This includes motoring from London, seats in one of the stands (according to . the \ price paid for the ticket), and a meal

on the course. The tickets arc evidently sent out for New Zealanders who intend taking a trip to the Old Country and would like to be present at the race meetings mentioned, but this is the first time ‘hat such a procedure has been adopted in regard to these select fixtures, Observes the racing scribe of the e 1 Auckland Star. ’ ’ WANGANUI ACCEPTANCES.
