Waipawa County Hospital, Wanstead road—-Dr Godfray, medical superintendent; Miss Carson, matron. Board comprises members of the Waipukurau, Patangata and Waipawa County Councils, and meets alternately at Waipukurau and Waipawa. Finance meeting first Thursday in every month. Mr W. White chairman of Board. Town Board—Members : Commissioners Chambers (chairman), Seymour, Staines, Gore, Booth and E J Elliott. Mr G B Ashley, clerk. Meetings held first Monday in each month at Town Board Offices. Waipukurau County Council—Councillors A. F. Cook, J. O’Neill, W. C. Smith, J. Williamson, A. C. B. Munro, A. H. McKay. Meetings held first Saturday in each month. Office hours : 2to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. School Committee—Members : Messrs R. Smart (chairman), R Hopkirk, Annand, Scholes, ' Anthony, Elliott, Seymour. Meetings third Thursday in every month in the schoolroom. Brass Band—President, Mr W. A. Chambers; conductor, Mr R. Young; sec., Mr ’G. V. Westbrooke. Masonic Lodge, Bedford No 25—W .M. David Milne; secretary, P. H. Jolley. Meeting held on Tuesday nearest full moon, at Lodge room, Wellington road 1.0.0.F.,M.U., Loyal Tavistock Lodge P E Bollons, secretary. Meets fortnightly on Friday in the Lodge Room. A.0.F., Court Ruahine—Meets monthly in St Mary’s Hall, Church lane. Meets on First and Third Thursday. F S Hopkinson, secretary 1.0.G.T., Alpha Lodge—Mr G. V. West -brooke, C.T, Mr W. N. Stoddart,secretary. Meetings fortnightly on Wednesday in St. Andrew’s Schoolroom. 1.0.G.T., Juvenile Temple—Mrs Westbrooke, Superintendent, Meets same night as Alpha Lodge. Literary and Debating Society—Rev J Pattison chairman : Mr C. J. Cooke, secretary. Meetings every fortnight during winter months. Railway Servants’ Union—Chairman Mr J. Cain ; secretary, Mr J. P. O’Flaherty. Business meetings are held quarterly Racing Club—President, Mr G Hunter secretary, Mr Nightingale, Napier Meetings held annually on Easter Monday Trotting Club—Mr B Shadbolt, president.
