HATUMA.

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) A meeting of the School Committee was held on Thursday night. Present : —Messrs Williamson (chairman), A. McKay, C. Schroder, H. Wright,. and W. Culling. The consideration of the financial statement of the school social had to be deferred to next meeting, as the accounts were not to hand. The gross takings of the social were £lB 4s 6d. It was decided, on the motion of Mr Schroder, to purchase i new lamp for the school. The medals celebrating the first anniversary of New Zealand as a Dominion were presented to the scholars by the head teacher, Miss Cole.
