KAIKORA.
(from our own correspondent.) The annual meeting of the Kaikora Tennis Club was held on Saturday evening, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr R. Tod occupied the chair. The balance sheet, which showed an expenditure of £5l on the new courts, was read and adopted. The following officers were elected : —President, Mr James Tod ; vice - presidents, Messrs George Clark and R. Tod ; committee, Messrs R. White, A. Clark, F. A. Garry, George Tod, A. Robottom, James Clark, G. White, J. Graham and Coleman ; secretary and treasurer, J. Hewitt. The ground committee reported that the courts were quickly becoming in first-class condition, and it was decided to have the opening day on Saturday, October 17th, also that the clubs of Waipawa, Waipukurau, Onga Onga, Tikokino, and Hastings be cordially invited to take part in the ceremony. Since there was no play on the courts last year, it w’as resolved that those lady members who subscribed should not be called on again this year, whilst the gentlemen should pay only a half subscription,
