TOWN BOARD.
—® ELECTION RESULTS. The biennial election of members of the Town Board, which took place yesterday, excited a good deal of interest, and the ratepayers polled steadily throughout the day. The election resulted ia five of the old Board being re-elected, the chairman, Mr Chambers, heading the poll. Shortly after 7 o’clock the returning officer, Mr G. B. Ashley, announced the result of the poll, as follows: — Chambers, W. A. ... 109 Staines, J. ••• 96 Booth, W. H. ... 90 Seymour. C. W. ... 89 McCormick, B. J. ... 88 Winlove, J. ... 84 Elliott, E. A. J. ... 74 Harvey, J. L. ... 53 Sampson, P. W. ... 52 Grenfell, W. F. ... 49 Bailey, J. J. ••• 48 There was a good gathering outside the Town Board offices in the evening to hear the results announced.
