HOCKEY.
The match between Waipukurau and Waipawa, played at Waipawa, was won by the home team by 3 goals to nil. J. Ferguson scored two goals and T. Ferguson one. The Waipukurau team contained several emergencies. Waipukurau now stands third in the.competition. The ladies’ trial match, Probables v. Possibles, played yesterday, was draw,n there being no score. The play was fast, but lacked combination. Mr Lowe was referee. Messrs Hunt and Peters, selectors, were present. An Ormondville team is to be picked to play a match against the Dannevirke Association on Wednesday.
