HOCKEY.

"KNOCK ON"]

[ BY

The Waipawa Sub-Association have received a challenge for a match with a picked girls’ team. Among the local girls’ names handed in I see Misses L. Rood, N. Merrylees, G. Jolley, H. Bailey, and N. Houseman. Miss L.. Rood •should get a place in the team, for there has not been a more consistent forward in the competition. / Misses G. Jolley and H. Bailey are two old players and last season played great games. This season alterations to the team did not give them a chance to shine. M.iss Merrylees is a very useful player and is about the only girl in the competition that can be relied on in any position. Miss Houseman is a good back.
