It is reported ihat 183,000 men have joined the Territorial Army. Ten thousand joined in June, a fact which is regarded by “ The Times ” as the best feature of the situation, though it points ort that 20,000 more are required. Sir G. T. Goldie, in urging the National Defence Association to assist in securing the success of the territorial scheme, deplored the reductions made in the regular troops as leaditg to national danger.
